Welcome to the American Association of State Policy Services’ website. This site is intended for use by members of the AASPS to exchange information regarding the development of school board policies across the United States.

Our "mission" as members of the American Association of State Policy Services is to provide guidance, mutual assistance and continuing education for one another in our roles as policy and governance consultants to school boards association membership.

If you are not a member of AASPS, and are employed by a state school boards association in either policy development or legal services, you may join AASPS at no cost by emailing your name, job title, and the name of the school boards association for which you work to the current President of AASPS, Ms. Kelli Hopkins, Missouri School Boards’ Association.

AASPS, in conjunction with the National School Boards Association (NSBA), operates a private social networking site that you may join as a member of AASPS. Once you subscribe to this site, you will receive and be able to share information with other policy and legal experts across the country. To subscribe, you first need an NSBA password, which you can get by contacting Dottie Gray, our NSBA liaison. With your NSBA password, log onto NSBA Connect and click on the “Discussions” tab along the top of the screen. Select “eGroups Home” from the drop-down menu and add a subscription to the “State Policy Services Staff” eGroup.
